Police said that the suspect led investigators to his brother, Imran, who also confessed to his part in the scam.The suspects also reportedly carried the police to persons to whom they had sold some of the jewelry, and a gold chain was recovered.Kareem Nandalall was charged with eight counts of demanding money and jewellery with menace and one count of attempt to commit a felony. Imran Nandalall was charged with one count of demanding money and jewellery with menace.The Magistrate ordered them remanded and they are to return to court on August 14.
