A Brazilian miner was remanded on an attempted murder charge, when he made an appearance at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.Ivor Nascimento De Costa was not required to plead to the charge which stated that on May 27, at Black Water Backdam, with intent to murder, he wounded Rondel Wellington.The charge was read to De Costa by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.Prosecutor, Police Corporal Bharrat Mangru, who objected to bail, argued that the defendant is a flight risk because he has no ties to Guyana.
