Thirty-two year old Imran Ally, called ‘Fat Man’, a businessman of Lot 255 Block ‘D’ Bath Settlement, West Coast Berbice, was jailed for two years yesterday by Justice Brassington Reynolds.The judge had ordered a probation report prior to sentencing.Imran Ally was found guilty of assault causing actual bodily harm on March 25,Bobby Doerr Jersey, 2006,Jeff Green Jersey, at Rosignol Village,World Baseball Classic Jerseys 2017, West Bank Berbice, by a mixed jury sitting in the Berbice High Court.The victim was? The latter two were freed during the trial.Deodat Ramoutar, called Alex, told the Court that on the day in question he was returning his children to their mother at her snackette at Rosignol Stelling roadway when he accidentally collided with Indra Ragubeer’s business place.He stated that after that he was accosted by the three men who armed themselves with bottles and started to beat him. He was hit in the head and other parts of his body. He stated that Imran Ally, who is Ragubeer’s brother,Bill Lee Jersey, then pulled a long knife from his waist and slashed him across his abdomen and gashed him on his right hand.“I fell to my knees. Chetram Ragubeer, then lashed me in my head and ‘bored’ me with a Carib bottle in my forehead.”Ramoutar stated that persons had gathered around and attempted to assist him, but Imran Ally told the persons, “Leave him right here.”According to Ramoutar, he was assisted by a snackette employee who tied his belly,Cheap Baltimore Orioles Jerseys, while he drove his car to his brother’s photo studio, a short distance away.He spent two days at the Fort Wellington Cottage Hospital before being transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation. The matter was investigated and the three men who were known to him for a number of years were arrested and charged.Earlier, Dr Alexander Sinclair, who was deemed an expert, in general medicine said that Deodat Ramoutar’s medical, revealed that the patient had a 31-centimeter incise wound from the left side of the chest extending to the right side of the abdominal cavity. There was another wound on his left and one on his forehead.The probation report which was presented by Senior Probation and Social Service Officer, Kenneth Nunes, among other things stated that the accused lived at various places and attended many different schools in Guyana. He is a father of four and had originally lived at Albouystown.He attended secondary school, up to fourth form.In mitigation Senior Counsel Bernard De Santos in association with Pamela De Santos had asked that a non custodial sentence be imposed on the accused.? Pamela De Santos who appeared on Monday begged the judge to be lenient and to use his experience in dealing with matters of such nature.She also stated that the parties had also pondered on compensation and that the accused had indicated a willingness to compensate the victim.In court the judge asked Deodat Ramoutar if they had agreed on matter of compensation. He stated that he told the accused that any compensation must be handed over in court. However, no figure was agreed on.In handing down his decision Justice Reynolds stated that he had taken a number of factors into consideration including the accused age now and at the time of the incident and the length of time that the matter took to be completed.He told the accused that despite the favourable Probation Report, on the night in question he allowed himself to be overcome by rage and acted in a reckless manner.He also stated that the trauma and scar that the accused received will be with him for the rest of his life and must be taken into consideration.The trial was aborted on the first occasion when the men appeared before Justice Winston Patterson on an allegation for witness tampering.During that trial former policeman Bashir Kursattie,Authentic Arizona Cardinals Jersey, was arrested on an arrest warrant and taken to court.
