Newly elected Mayor of New Amsterdam Kirt?Wynter plans to get down to the arduous task of fixing the town as early as possible. Wynter, a businessman and a newspaper agent was elected Mayor of Guyana oldest town on Friday at the inaugural meeting of the new Council. He was nominated by APNU+AFC Councillor William “Bill” Moore and seconded by another coalition Councilor Pollyann Shultz.Wynter in his inaugural speech as Mayor assured that he would work in the best interest of the town.
