Police witnesses testifying in the High Court trial of popular party promoter,Cory Joseph Jersey, Colin Mack, told the court yesterday that they did not observe any marks of violence about his body after he was arrested for the crimes.Mack is charged for the rape, assault and forcible abduction of a female.Some five years after he was arraigned on the charges, Mack’s trial commenced before Justice Navindra Singh at the High Court in Georgetown yesterday.The accused pleaded not guilty to the allegations before a mixed twelve -member jury, selected to oversee the proceeding.According to the indictment the accused had sexual intercourse with a 19-year-old without her consent on April 12, 2009.Reports are that the victim was abducted and taken to a house in Festival City where she was held against her will.The teen claimed that she was held for several hours at a Festival City house, where the accused allegedly raped and assaulted her.The teen said that she shouted for help, but no one came to her rescue even though the houses were within close proximity.She managed to escape after she hung her naked body through a window and a taxi driver saw her and came to her rescue.Police witnesses testifying in the trial told defence attorney Peter Hugh, yesterday, that they did not notice any marks about the body of the accused after he was arrested on April 12, 2009. Wilson said that he was tasked with escorting the accused to the Brickdam Police Station the day after his arrest.The officer told the court that he took Mack to Brickdam where he handed him over to the officer in charge.The Corporal said that he made notes relative to the accused in the log book and station diary at Brickdam,Wholesale Jerseys, but noted that during that time he did not see any injuries about Mack’s body.
