The Prosecution has closed its case in the trial in which, Anthony De Paul Hope?and his two friends, Ralph Tyndall and Kevin O’Neil, are charged for the murder of his aunt, Colleen Forrester.On December 27, 2007, Forrester, who had been at her brother’s house at Lot 55 William Street, Campbellville, was allegedly strangled and beaten to death with a pestle (mortar stick) by her nephew,? (Hope,)? and his two friends who then dumped her body in the septic tank.After neighbours noticed that she was missing, they raised an alarm. On January 6, 2008, her body was found by police ranks with her ankles bound and her body wrapped in several sheets in the septic tank.Hope, called ‘Papa’, 27, of ‘C’ Field Sophia; Tyndall, 28, of ‘C’ Field, Sophia;?and 28-year-old O’Neil of Seaforth Street, Campbellville, are currently on trial for the murder.They are before Justice Roxane George-Wiltshire and a 12-member mixed jury. Yesterday State Prosecutors Stacey Goodings and Diana Kaulesar, closed their case after calling their final witness to the stand.Police detective, Elson Baird, testified that he witnessed the taking of the caution statements from two of the accused persons, (Tyndall and O’Neil). He recalled that no force, threat or inducement was offered to the men while they gave the police their statements.In his statement, which was provided to the court last week, Tyndall essentially blamed the murder on his co-accused, Anthony?De Paul Hope.? Hope, in turn, said that it was Tyndall who murdered his aunt.However, in his caution statement, the third accused person, (O’Neil) said that he was present the night that Colleen Forrester was murdered.?? While, O’Neil told investigators that he did not murder Forrester, he said that he saw Tyndall hitting the woman in her head with what he described as a baton and choking her.O’Neil recalled that he accompanied his friend,
