Nevertheless, we (I was part of the planning committee) decided to put on a cultural show for the benefit of Guyanese and especially their children.At the time the Association was hoping for a crowd of five hundred persons, which they thought would have been a great figure. To our surprise there was a turnout of over 3000 Guyanese. It was unbelievable.
