Police investigators think that they know the motive behind the recent arson attempts at the business premises of slain Pest Control boss Mohammed Shahabudeen Bacchus.And it may not have anything to do with revenge.Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law Enforcement) Seelall Persaud told Kaieteur News that while they have not made any significant headway into the recent attacks on the now dead Pest Control boss’s properties they are looking at two motives.According to Persaud they are looking at reports that Bacchus was involved in a civil matter in the court.“We are also looking at the fact that since his death the business has been at a standstill meaning that the items he has in stock will be of no use and everything he owns are all insured.”He added their suspicions continue to grow since the investigations have revealed that both fires were deliberately set. However Persuad said the second motive is being looked at more seriously.Some two weeks ago,Maillot Psg Femme, Mohamed Shahabudeen Bacchus, a 43-year-old Pouderoyen resident,Maillot Psg Femme Pas Cher, and owner of Pest Control Plus,Bayern Trikot Ausw?rts 18/19, was shot several times while at a bar in Thomas Street, Georgetown. Police reports stated that two armed men targeted him.According to reports,Maillot Psg Femme Personnalis?, the slain businessman may have been deliberately targeted by hit men. A previous attempt had been made on his life in 2008. Two people were charged in connection with that attack.Four days after his death,Maillot Psg Personnalis?, Bacchus’ Prashad Nagar office which was also the main storage area for millions of dollars in high end products used for his business,Maillot Psg Pas Cher, was torched. Fire officials had concluded that the fire was the work of an arsonist. Fire insurance officials were seen at the premises accessing the damage.A few days later another Sheriff Street property owned by Bacchus was set afire. This was despite the fact that the property at the time had two security guards on duty. However there was very minimal damage.Meanwhile since his death a popular businessman was detained for questioning but subsequently released. The family has suggested that the attacks show that someone has a vendetta against them.
