It's been a tough 12 months for Hickenlooper as he enters his fourth year in office and seeks re-election. For the second consecutive year, he dealt with a devastating wildfire season. And then there was flooding in September that killed nine people,
Andrus Peat Jersey, destroyed or damaged nearly 2,000 homes, and washed out hundreds of miles of roads.
Hickenlooper touted the state's successes in recovering from the disasters, including reopening all the Colorado highways damaged by flooding before the scheduled goal of Dec. 1.
