A man, who was initially brought to court on a charge of simple larceny,cheap nfl jerseys, was yesterday slapped with a charge of narcotics possession for the purpose of trafficking. He was reportedly found with two grams of cocaine at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.Thirty-seven–year-old Anthony Fraser,Wholesale NFL Jerseys, of Lot 134 Hadfield Street,Cheap Wholesale Jerseys, Lodge, was yesterday remanded to jail by Magistrate Judy Latchman before whom he pleaded not guilty to the drug charge.Fraser first appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, where he heard that between February 9, and February 10 he broke and entered the dwelling house of Shawanna Smartt, and stole items valued at $281,000.The man was accused of stealing two cell phones and gold jewelry.The police said that the defendant is known to Smartt since he once lived at the woman’s premises. On the day in question she secured her home by means necessary and went to bed with her children. The prosecutor said that around 04:30 hours the next day,wholesale jerseys, her son woke her up shouting, “Mommy,Jerseys From China, Mommy Stones in the house.” The police said Smartt checked her house and saw that the window on the eastern side of her house was opened. Further checks revealed that articles were missing.A report was made to the police, and the complainant along with ranks in a patrol jeep went to a location in Albouystown where Smartt pointed out Fraser. He was subsequently arrested and taken to the Ruimveldt Police Outpost.Fraser, before facing the Chief Magistrate was taken to the holding area where a routine search was conducted on his person. The police alleged that the man was acting in a suspicious manner and while they were performing the search, Fraser pushed his hand in his left side pants pocket and threw down a clear knotted plastic.One of the officers observed the plastic and after opening it saw a hard whitish substance that appeared to be cocaine. After being told about the drugs, the man claimed that he had no knowledge about the drugs. Fraser was cautioned and later placed before the court after ranks said they borrowed a scale and weighed the contents which summed up to two grams.The charge was written up and instituted right there at the court.The pending drug charge was later read by Magistrate Latchman who gave Fraser February 17, the date he will return to court.
