As Guyana continues its fight against HIV,Jerseys NFL Wholesale, tuberculosis and malaria, a national consultation to identify priority areas for the preparation of a concept note was held yesterday in preparation for submission to the Global Fund.The consultation was organised by the Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) for the Global Fund and saw participation from a number of agencies including the Guyana Red Cross,Wholesale China Jerseys, the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH), the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO),Cheap NFL Jerseys 2016, and the Guyana Vector Control Services (VCS).According to Lucy Anderson of the CCM Secretariat, the presentation of a concept note was a new method implemented by the Global Fund. She explained the new method was a requirement for receiving funding.Following the presentation of the concept note, Anderson said the CCM must then present a grant proposal. The final stage would involve the grant implementation in three years, she added.Anderson said Guyana recently received funding which will expire in 2015. The funding is intended to be used to mitigate the effects of HIV, malaria, and tuberculosis of severely affected countries.She said too, that the CCM had been in existence for years and its primary responsibility was to provide oversight to the funds released from the Global Fund to Guyana. The mechanism is supported by a secretariat located at the Ministry of Agriculture. Anderson added that the chairman of the CCM is the Minister of Agriculture.Anderson also said that there are currently 23 agencies working along with the CCM. The new period will see 25 members under the CCM, Anderson said.According to Anderson, the CCM also received support from various organisations to strengthen its capacity to ensure its adequate functioning.Though the CCM oversees the funding, the Ministry of Health is the principal recipient for the Global Fund grant in Guyana.Yesterday’s concept note focused on malaria and saw an introduction to the Guyana malaria program by Director of Vector Control Services (VCS),NFL Jerseys Supply, Reyaud Rahman.
