He said that Dataram was wanted for questioning, but in his own affidavit he never mentioned that Dataram was indeed questioned.Puran then asked the court for the Commissioner of Police to produce any documents that show that Dataram was questioned, adding that they need to produce the “lock-up” document to see if his client was taken for questioning.The lawyer also asked that the court find circumstantial evidence that Dataram was arrested for extradition purposes.He pointed out to the court that paragraph 28 of the affidavit which was tendered by the Crime Chief is a blatant lie to the court. In it the Crime Chief said that Dataram was arrested on October 14 by a provisional warrant.
