Despite his lawyer’s relentless efforts to secure bail 25 year-old Leon Totaram was denied pre-trial liberty after he was charged with two counts of possession of ammunition.The accused made his appearance at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton on Friday last.It is alleged that on Saturday,Cheap Nike NFL Jerseys China, September 15,Cheap Jerseys, 2007,Wholesale Baseball Jerseys 2018, Totaram had in his possession one live .38 round of ammunition,Cheap China Jerseys, without being the holder of a valid firearm license.The other charge stated that on the same date the 25 year-old had one live .32 round of ammunition without being the holder of a valid firearm license. To both charges he pleaded not guilty. He was represented by Attorney-at-law Ronald Burch-Smith.Before making his bail application,Cheap Stitched Jerseys, Burch-Smith pointed out to the court that the charges against his client were preposterous. He said that his client has been back and forth to the police for one year and the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute.Burch-Smith said that on the day when the bullets were found it was the mother of the man’s child who took the bullets from her purse and gave it to the police saying that he (Totaram) had threatened her with them. According to Burch-Smith ever since his client has been reporting to the police and was even told by a police inspector to stop reporting since they were not making any headway in the case.He added that the charges were only instituted following another dispute with Totaram and the woman over the custody of their child.Bail was denied. Totaram was remanded until January 12 of next year.
