Several local farming groups and the Environmental Committee Health Organisation (ECHO) were yesterday presented with a quantity of farming equipment compliments of Food for the Poor Guyana Inc.The items consisted of cutlasses, files,China NFL Jerseys, hoses, pick axes, shovels and forks, all valued at $5.2 million.The farming groups included the Buxton Farmers Group, Hope Estate Farmers Group, Kuru Kururu Farmers Association, and the Ann’s Grove Farmers Group.The main aim of the venture is to support and play a vital role in the recently launched agricultural campaign: Grow More Food.“We need the farmers to plant more food so that we could buy it back from them to feed the nation,” said director of Food for the Poor (FFP),Cheap MLB Jerseys Authentic, Mr. Leon Davis,Cheap Jerseys, who addressed the gathering yesterday in the boardroom of the Food for the Poor headquarters,Cheap NFL Jerseys, Festival City.He added that the efforts by his organisation to aid in the Grow More Food campaign are not going to stop at this project.There is a lot more in store to battle poverty in Guyana, he said.
