The mandate of the Council is to bring material aid to persons who suffer natural or manmade disasters.Through its non-discriminatory policy the Council caters to the needs of disaster victims throughout the 10 administrative regions of Guyana.Funding for the Council’s work is mainly through fund raising activities and a small annual Government subvention.
