A pornographic website, www.Guyanaporn.com, accused of publishing altered photographs (photo-shopped) of local underage girls and other women, has been taken down following an article published by this newspaper.The website, which had been operating locally for the past several months,Jerseys Soccer Authentic, had over 2000 active users, who all hid behind fake user names.The site allowed its members to post explicit images of people without their permission. It also posted their personal information.The sexually explicit materials, primarily of females, were routinely posted by angry former boyfriends and ex-husbands.It contained the victims’ real names and links to their Facebook profiles.Also,Brian Gionta Jersey, there were some users who selected pictures of random Guyanese girls on Facebook and cropped their faces and placed it on naked bodies.A snapshot of the pornographic siteThe victims, after finding out that their photographs were on a porn site, immediately reported the matter to the police, who admitted to this newspaper that they were monitoring the site just before it was taken down.One victim who had visited this newspaper said that a man who had befriended her on a social media website just over three months ago, downloaded pictures of her and posted them to the local pornographic site.Thirty-three other women, including teenagers around Guyana have also reported that they too have had the same experience.A 20-year-old woman, who lives in Parika, explained that “Sometime in early August, I was at home and I started receiving strange messages from different men. Some of them were from Guyana and some from different countries.”She further stated that she ignored the messages,Andrew Franks Dolphins Jersey, but around midnight the following day, a man called her from India and inquired about her rate for an hour.“I was like… ‘what are you talking about?’ But I couldn’t really understand his accent, so I hang up and I immediately called one of the numbers that I received a message from. I went on the site and created an account and there I saw my face on a nude body,” the woman explained.She added that she made a police report the following day.“When I went home, I went again on the site and I started calling all the numbers that were listed for other girls.
