To know fate todayA father, Roy Pestano Snr, and his son Raymond Pestano, of Number 41 Village, West Coast Berbice who are accused of murdering fellow villager, Davanand Ramlagan, 25, on October 19, 2002 are to know their fate today. They are appearing before Justice Navendra Singh and a mixed Jury in the Berbice High Court.A father, Roy Pestano Snr, and his son Raymond Pestano being escorted by the police and a relative in the background.The incident is alleged to have been committed at the Breezy Point shop, Number 41 Village, West Coast Berbice.Justice Navindra Singh is expected to sum up the evidence to the jury after both the defence attorney Senior Counsel, Bernard De Santos and Prosecutor, Judith Gildharie-Mursalin would have addressed the jury.Earlier prosecutor Gildharie-Mursalin recounted the October 19, 2002, incident in which she stated that around 21.30 hours, Kenrick Ramlagan and his cousin, Goel Ross,Cheap NFL Football Jerseys, were at the Breezy Point shop in the said village when the two accused along with another person drove up in a white car.An altercation took place and Davanand Ramlagan was injured and left lying in a pool of blood.Following investigations, Roy Pestano and his son Raymond were charged with the capital offence.A number of witnesses were called, including Goel Richard Ross, a cousin of the deceased who said that on the night in question he was eating a box of food outside the shop when the car pulled up with Roy Pestano Sr, and his two sons Roy Pestano Jr and Raymond. I was charged one month after Raymond.”
