By Abena RockcliffeKing Solomon,Brian Campbell Jersey, in the biblical book of Ecclesiastes,Andrew Franks Dolphins Jersey, said, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” For the members of Special Miracles Ministries (SMM), the time for celebration is now.After 20 years, the Church has finally been able to secure a place of its own for fellowship.Celebration was in full swing last evening as members gathered to christen the building with a special service.“We have waited upon the Lord and I must say it was worth the wait,” said one member as he expressed delight in “what God has done.”Presiding over the Ministry are Arch Bishop Wingrove David Babb and his wife, Bishop Amy Kumarie Babb.Arch Bishop Babb said that SMM was started in August 1994 by a few other brethren and himself. The Arch Bishop explained that it was actually a prayer group that later developed into a church. He said that the formation of the church was an extension of God’s Kingdom on earth.Babb recalled a few members who had initially started the church, including Gurdai Tiwari, Beverly Nelson and the late Evelyn Hopkinson. He said that while he is happy with what God has blessed the Church,Alexander Mogilny Jersey, he is saddened that Hopkinson, who was a founding member, is not alive to see it.Babb told Kaieteur News that the Church had the experience of assembling at different locations for several years which at times was frustrating but “gave us some valuable experiences.”Arch Bishop, WD Babb during last night’s serviceHe said, “As God would have it, we have today been able to build our own sanctuary at 203 Freeman Street,Cheap Atlanta Braves Hoodies, East La Penitence at the home where I was born and grew up. Today I can say I have truly returned home.”Babb said that a great sense of satisfaction comes along with knowing that he has played a major role in building a house in God’s name.The Arch Bishop said,http://www.theworldsoccersshop.com/Argentina-Diego-Maradona-Jersey.html, “At times the road ahead seemed uncertain with the local migration of friends (members going to other Churches) but God is faithful by giving me a faithful few and strength anew.”“This is my first project of this magnitude and I intend to do more, to be of benefit to my countrymen,” said Babb.The building that is being erected has three floors. However, only the ground floor that houses the Church is completely finished and has been adorned with all the necessary fineries.Babb said that the Church received significant help from covenant partners in Barbados.He expressed his belief that God has specific purposes for him and the long-standing members of SMM including Joy Cameron, Hazel Best, Samuel Williams,Jerseys Soccer Authentic, Valarie Pearson and Joenatta Johnson.He said he is grateful for all the pastors who played various roles in his life including Reverend Charles Collymore, Aposlte Charles Vantull and the late Reverand Sybil Welshman.Also, Babb said that even though his strength comes from God, his wife is a significant support for him. He said that he honestly believes that the first lady, Amy Babb, is a gift from God. “I thank God, everyday for my wife; I can indeed testify that God did well by meBabb and his members prayed danced and sang gospel last night in celebration of what God has done.
