A grand victory parade and rally to celebrate the victory of the coalition in the May 11 General Elections is set to take place next Sunday,http://www.soccerpro.us.com/Arsenal-FC/, June 14th in Brooklyn, New York.According to the organizers, the New York City Police Department has already approved the route of the march which begins at?Bedford?and Church Avenues, and will proceed east along Church Avenue to Schenectady Avenue where the grand rally will be held.According to a release from A Partnership for National Unity (APNU), one of the two factions of the Government, the march and rally is being organized by a group of Guyanese who came together after requests from fellow citizens in the diaspora. The occasion will also be used to celebrate Guyana’s 49 years of independence.Chairperson of the group,?Sharif?Fraser, said she had no choice in bringing the group together after businesswoman, Doris Rodney of the Hills Restaurant, broached the idea after watching the festivities that were streamed live from Guyana.“She indicated that she immediately contacted a number of prominent individuals including members of the North American Region (NAR) of the?PNC/R,Billy Price Jersey, and the Alliance For Change (AFC). Political activist, Rickford?Burke and Ervin Washington are also part of the organizing committee. The logistics and stage preparations are being conducted by Bobby?Vieira, who was asked to join the team and share his expertise. He will also be arranging for live streaming of the event.”The march which begins at?11:00 am?will be followed by a rally which begins at the end of the parade.“The two part program is set to feature speeches and remarks by a number of Federal, State and local politicians including US Congress Woman,Air Max 97 Uk, Yvette Clarke and New York City Mayor,NFL Jerseys China, Bill De?Blasio,?among others.”The second phase will showcase Guyanese performers including Lisa Punch, Jenny?Ferreira?and Anthony Alleyne.According to APNU, the expected large gathering of Guyanese, decked in green and yellow shirts and caps are due to travel from as far as Connecticut, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Georgia, Toronto, Canada and even Guyana.Minister of State,Brock Holt Jersey, Joseph Harmon, and other senior Government officials have been invited.According to APNU, the committee is also examining reduced airfares with Fly Jamaica,Cheap Adidas NHL Jerseys, for persons from Guyana to travel.
