A Guyana chapter called the Guyana/Florida Hope non-profit organization which is based in Upper Corentyne area was subsequently formed.Since its formation the Guyana/Florida Hope Incorporated has grown to be one of the leading non-profit organisations which give yearly help to their counterparts back home.The NGOs have quietly made a number of significant contributions to various groups and persons in the country.This year they have so far made their most significant donation by handing over a US$15,000 cheque to the Guyana Chapter. The money is to be used as the members see fit in assisting Guyanese in need.Apart from the sizable cash donation, there was a 40-foot container of supplies. It was shipped in September.
