A mother of two was yesterday sentenced by Magistrate Dylon Bess to three months in jail, after she admitted to lashing her friend with a PVC pipe.An unrepentant Sade Grant, 26, of 2646 National Avenue, South Ruimveldt Park,Nike Air Max 90 China, admitted to the court that on February 28,Man Utd 3rd Kit 18/19, at her place of residence,Jordan Retro 10 Noir, she unlawfully assaulted Candace Griffith,Chaussure Jordan Pas Cher Femme, so as to cause her actual bodily harm.The prosecution’s facts stated that Grant and the virtual complainant reside at the same address. Grant lives in the upper part of the building, while Griffith occupies the bottom flat. They developed a good relationship and as a result became very close friends.On the day in question, Griffith was standing at her front door talking to her children,Manchester City Fc Store, when Grant came downstairs and saw her blocking a part of the passageway leading up to her gate. Grant asked Griffith for a pass, but she ignored her and continued to speak with her children.The defendant then became annoyed and jammed Griffith with her shoulder. A confrontation ensued and Grant picked up a piece of PVC pipe and dealt the victim several lashes about her body.The matter was subsequently reported to the North Ruimveldt Police Station. A medical certificate was obtained and the defendant was arrested and charged.Grant was warned several times by the Magistrate for addressing him inappropriately at the court hearing. When asked by the magistrate if she had anything to say before sentencing the woman replied “no”.The magistrate then informed her that the penalty for the offence is 18 months imprisonment. He also asked her if she wanted to go to jail for that long. She harshly replied “Honestly, I don’t have a problem, what happens, happens”. At this stage the entire courtroom was speechless as the woman stood and spoke in a very loud manner.Before sentencing, the magistrate took into consideration that the woman has two children, a clean criminal record,Brahim Diaz Jersey, and the fact that she accepted that she did something wrong.? He further told the woman that the court cannot allow her to “go around hitting people about the body and lashing them with pipes”. He stressed that she needs to learn to respect other people, and advised her that if something of a similar nature happens, she should make a report at the police station.
