In a bid to promote hand washing as a healthy habit, the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO),Neues Bayern Trikot 2018/19, in collaboration with the Development for International Development (DIFID) from the United Kingdom (UK) and the Ministry of Health, yesterday staged an intervention to encourage hand washing. The venue was the Cornelia Ida (CI) Primary School.The programme saw participation from the students of the CI Primary School, the CI Nursery School and the Anna Catherina Nursery School. There were also some of the parents of the respective students and staffers of those schools.There were also representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, the Regional Democratic Council (RDC), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), DIFID and PAHO.Regional Education Officer, Marlyn Jones-O’Donoghue, said that the intervention was timely, as the need to reinforce a hygienic and healthy lifestyle at all times was necessary.She added that the need for parents,Manuel Neuer Trikot Bayern, guardians and teachers to recognise the importance of hand washing was paramount. She noted that the hand washing was of the utmost importance in the prevention of diseases and sicknesses such as diarrhoea.Similarly, the Director of Environmental Health at the Ministry of Health, Ashok Sookdeo, noted that hand washing was important.It is essential for persons to wash their hands using soap, as there are often many organisms on person’s hands, invisible to the human eye, that water alone could not remove. As such, he said that using soap was essential.He added that hand washing, using soap,Blank Trikot Bayern M?nchen, was one of the most cost effective and cheap ways of preventing diarrhoea.Region Three Chairman,Maillot Psg 2018/19, Julius Faerber, explained that there was need to ensure that children and young people remain healthy, since they play an integral role in the development of the nation.He also encouraged residents of the area, children especially, to make sure that they use soap when they wash their hands.The representative from UNICEF, Ian Jones, noted that unwashed hands carry many diseases into person’s mouths, and as such, he said that UNICEF was in full support of the hand washing intervention.Environmental Health Officer of PAHO,Maillot Psg Personnalis?, Teofilo Monteiro, noted that good hygiene prevents numerous diseases and needs to go hand in hand with water sanitation and human nutrition to effectively promote good health.Like many of the other speakers, Monteiro highlighted the use of soap in hand washing, especially at critical moments, like before eating and after one had used toilet facilities.He said that society needed to practise hand washing, and in doing so cultivate it as a part of their daily routine.Minister within the Ministry of Health, Dr Bheri Ramsarran, identified some of the developments undertaken throughout the country,Maillot Psg Femme Pas Cher, including the construction of numerous hospitals and sending hundreds of people to Cuba to receive treatment for numerous eye related afflictions like cataract and glaucoma.The exercise featured a demonstration of the correct way to wash one’s hands using soap. This was followed by a distribution of hand washing kits and Chlorosol, a drug used to make water safe for human consumption.
