But the problem, he said, lies in the reliability of information on their system.He explained that in order to sanitize the data that they have on their physical records, it could have been done differently, but due to the time constraints, other alternatives were pursued.“We could have done it in a different way… We could have asked everyone to come into GRA to verify the data and that would have been an inconvenient exercise… it would have probably not achieved the level of results we would have anticipated.”The Commissioner General explained that with this new system, it will be authentic, as the search feature of the system will be able to detect an irregularity within seconds when compared with the manual system, which he said can take years.Before the new system was introduced, Sattaur said that the GRA was losing significant revenue.
