It was attended by local teachers, police officers, members of the Region Two Working Suicide Prevention Group and hospital staff.This was followed by a one-day domestic violence workshop in Sophia, which was conducted at Love and Faith Church in collaboration with Agape Network.? There was also three days of intensive training in Georgetown for volunteers of the Foundation.Community outreaches were held in Pigeon Island,NFL Jerseys Supply, East Coast Demerara, and Devonshire Castle, Essequibo Coast.? These items were received by Dr. Ranjiv Singh on behalf of the hospital.Managing Director of the foundation, Mr. Anthony Autar, said that the foundation is improving its efforts in the areas of mental health and suicide prevention. According to Autar, the local needs are too urgent to sit back and proceed with business as normal.He stated that it is imperative that the people of Guyana are provided with the resources and support needed to develop resiliency to cope with various life challenges.Autar went on to say that the Guyana Foundation will continue to play its part in this endeavour.? He also extended gratitude to the many financial donors and other partners who collectively helped in making the activities a reality.The Guyana Foundation has planned a variety of programmes for the New Year.
