Deon Marques, popularly known as the ‘one -eye bandit,’ has been sentenced, yesterday, to serve five years behind bars for a series of robberies he committed, last year.The defendant had initially pleaded not guilty to the allegations but opted to change his plea when he appeared before Magistrate Leron Daly yesterday.Given that Marques accepted all the charges, Magistrate Daly imposed a calculated sentence of 51 years.
