The man who is accused of murdering a taxi driver back in 2010 before dumping his body, is on trial in the Berbice High Court before Justice William Ramlal and a mixed Jury.The accused, Stephen Campbell,Wholesale NBA Jerseys China, of Lot 5 Number Seven Village; East Coast Berbice is accused of murdering taxi driver Trevor Kissoon, between June 9 and June 10,Cheap Soccer Jerseys, 2010.The badly battered body of Kissoon,Pat Tillman Cardinals Throwback Jersey, 27, of 24 Alexander Street, New Amsterdam was found in a trench at Bramfield No7 East Coast Berbice around noon on June 10,China Jerseys, 2010.Kissoon at the time was employed with the J&N Taxi Service in New Amsterdam and was driving a Silver Grey 212 Toyota Car with licence plate No HB 7489. At the time of the man’s disappearance he was working the 19:00hrs to 07:00 hrs shift.On the night in question the taxi service received a call from a cell phone asking for a car to do a pick up at the Sheet Anchor Turn in East Canje. The driver had reported that he had located the customer and was heading to Rose Hall Town, where he was to make another pick up and then drop off at a popular hotel in New Amsterdam, before returning with the other person to Skeldon.However the man was not heard from again despite diligent efforts to make contact with him by phone and other means. A missing person report was made.His relatives had also mounted a search and some time later, with the police,cheap nfl jerseys elite, they found Kissoon’s battered body next to a bridge at the side of a trench at Bramsfield, East Coast Berbice. When the body was found his head was bashed in and his eyes were gouged. The police conducted a diligent investigation that led to the arrest of Campbell, some two years after the incident. The car was never found.The state’s case is being presented by Attorney at law Stacy Goodings. Attorneys at law Mursalene Bacchus and Perry Gossai are appearing for the accused.When the case began the Prosecution called two witnesses. The first to take the witness stand was Gregory Ramsammy,Cheap Jerseys China, a cousin of the deceased who testified to identifying the body of Kissoon and witnessing the post mortem examination.Police Detective Sergeant Lawrence Thomas also testified. In his testimony he recalled visiting the scene and conducting investigations into the matter. He witnessed the post mortem examination which was conducted by Dr. Vivekanand Brijmohan. The post mortem report was subsequently tendered.The preliminary inquiry was conducted by Magistrate Adela Nagamootoo in the New Amsterdam Magistrate’s court.Some 10 witnesses testified during the PI.The matter is continuing.
