As part of the Ministry of Health’s effort to expand its dental health care system in the country, three dentists from India are expected to be in Guyana within a month to provide support and assistance to the dental system.During a visit to the paediatric dental unit at the Cheddi Jagan Dental School yesterday, Health Minister Dr. Leslie Ramsammy said that the visas for the three dentists are currently being processed by Guyana’s Ambassador to India, Ronald Gajraj.According to Dr. Ramsammy, when the Indian dentists arrive there would be the opportunity for more dental outreaches to be conducted, especially to those hard to reach communities.Additionally, the Cheddi Jagan Dental School is currently providing training to eleven students who are studying dentistry.Five of the students are in their third year, while four of them are in their second year and the others just started the training.“It is a full scale dentistry training programme….
