They would always ask about the recipe; they will ask about the flour blend and so. Management saw it as something the consumers are looking for, and we decided to give them something that they can use”, she noted.The recipes are behind the packets and persons just have to follow the recipes to get an excellent dish. The items are all made in Guyana. She said that NAMILCO will be expanding marketing and promotion strategies for the two new products “until we have something used by all and they [the consumers] are comfortable with it [the products]”.Foreigners she said can come and purchase the products since the authentic Guyanese foods are difficult to get overseas.The parsad and halwa flour mix are being sold at factory prices, $280 for 600g packets.
