If he was sentenced to life, it would have devastated him,” White told this newspaper.From all indications there was enough evidence in a least one of the indictments to send Khan to jail for life. He explained that even if Khan was acquitted on 17 of the indictments, he could still have received a life sentence on the remaining one.The attorney had previously told this newspaper that it is unlikely that his client will testify in the trial of Robert Simels who is facing charges of obstruction,
