…donates $400,000 worth in items to seven primary schoolsThe East Canje organization of New York,Wholesale NHL Jerseys, a group made up of former residents of East Canje now living in the United States of America recently made a donation to their alma mater.The group, through a representative,NFL Jerseys China, donated more than $400,000 worth of donations of various kinds to the primary schools in the East Canje district.This activity was held recently in the hall way of the Rose Hall Estate Primary School. It was chaired by Reverend Dr Paul Moonu, Parish priest of the Lutheran Church, a resident of the area and a former school teacher. The activity was coordinated by businessman Robin Sookraj of R. Sookraj and Sons, and retired head mistress Ms Bassant, both residents of the area. They had also helped to acquire the items.The seven schools,Wholesale Cheap Jerseys, namely Zorg (New Forest), Gangaram, Betsy Ground, Rose Hall Estate, Cumberland, Fort Ordnance and Sheet Anchor Primary Schools were given a significant boost in the quest to make their school and environment more conducive to learning.The schools were asked a little while ago to identify some items that they needed to make the school and children better. They were also given a chance to identify a project they would want to undertake.After some consultations a list was drawn up and forwarded to the overseas-based group for action.Zorg Primary received more than $40,000 worth of items including Spray cans, blackboard paint, curtains, fans and sporting equipment. Gangaram Primary had requested a seasaw worth $70,Jerseys NFL Wholesale,000 for the playground. The committee donated $55,000 while the school contributed $15,Wholesale NFL Jerseys,000. The seasaw is being assembled at the moment.Betsy Ground Primary is about to start a feeding programme. The school received pots, plates, hotplates, buckets, a water dispenser and fans for such a programme at a cost of $60,000.The Rose Hall Estate Primary School was the recipient of various items worth $55,000 including wares, cutleries and books.Cumberland Primary got a new public address system worth $125,000. The committee donated $60,000 while a group of overseas-based wellwishers donated the remaining $65,000.Sheet Anchor Primary got a complete table tennis set with board, and racquets worth $70,000. The final donation was for the Fort Ordnance Primary school which received equipment worth $60,000 including a Photocopy machine with Scanner and Printer.The East Canje Organization of New York was formed three years ago with the aim of bringing together people and their families who originated from the East Canje area.The group, since then, has been organizing the East Canje family Fun Day in New York during the summer. The people there call it Canje Day.The members of the committee are Joseph Mangru, President; Alan Mohan, Vice President; Secretary, Reena Hussein, The Assistant Secretary is Ann Misir Baldeo, Treasurer Rohan Singh and Assistant Treasurer, Outram Ranglall.The committee, in a statement,Jerseys Authentic Stitched, said that although its first aim is to arrange and organize the annual family Fun Day in New York, “It is always in our thoughts to do something for the people back home in our home villages.”Present at the ceremony in East Canje was a committee member of the organization Ramu Singh.Education Officer Ms Joel Ward represented the Ministry of Education and expressed gratitude on behalf of the ministry for the timely and most welcome gesture. She expressed the hope that other overseas organizations will take up the mantle and continue to help their alma mater.Headmistress of the Rose Hall Estate Primary School, Beverly Hazelwood, expressed gratitude on behalf of her colleagues.
