The Guyana Relief Council (GRC) recently met with Ben ter Welle, Germany’s Honorary Consul in Guyana,Wholesale Jerseys, and Christoph Peleikis,NFL Jerseys China, Deputy Head of Mission, of the German Embassy in Port of Spain, Trinidad.Both paid an inspection visit to the body’s Rehabilitation Project.The project was funded through the Embassy’s Small Grants Scheme.The GRC, according to a release yesterday, had submitted an application for funding after holding discussions with Bernd Kay Ruehl, Cultural Attache of the Embassy.The application was approved and in July 2010 funding to the value of US$31,000 or $6,164,000 was received by the Council.The difference of $1,736,Cheap Jerseys Supply,000 which was needed for the completion of the project was provided by contributions from Toolsie Persaud Limited,Cheap NFL Jerseys, National Hardware, TCL (Guyana) Limited, BK International Quarries,Cheap China Jerseys Authentic, Sterling Products Limited, Ansa McAL, Gafsons Industries,Cheap NFL Jerseys, Royal Woodworking Limited and Continental Group of Companies.The rehabilitation project constituted general repairs and maintenance to the temporary shelter and admin building, repairs to the water trestle, raising and concreting a section of the yard and building a concreted drain.In 2002, when the GRC temporary shelter was completed, the German Embassy also through its Small Grants Scheme assisted the Council with funds to help with furnishing the building.The Guyana Relief Council (GRC) is a non-profit, charitable organization which was established some 17 years ago.? The mandate of the Council is to bring material aid to persons who suffer natural or manmade disasters.Through its non-discriminatory policy the Council caters to the needs of disaster victims throughout the 10 administrative regions of Guyana.Funding for the Council’s work is mainly through fund raising activities and a small annual Government subvention.
