　　24歲的王某一直沒有工作，游手好閑的他過得很拮据。8月21日中午，他到沙坪壩歌樂山廣場走廊處的銅像下睡覺，剛一躺下，他抬頭看到人物紀唸碑上有一塊一塊的金屬牌子，上面刻著人物的彫像，便萌生了將牌子撬下來賣錢的想法。於是，王某與朋友錢某商量偷銅像賣錢。二人先到網吧上網，等天黑後再去作案。

　　噹晚11點過，二人走出網吧，趁著夜色悄悄來到了廣場走廊革命歷史人物紀唸碑處，王某用手摸了摸貼在文化牆上的銅像，但是固定得很緊。王某決定回傢拿工具，並讓錢某躺在石凳上假裝睡覺。王某很快回到歌樂山鎮上的傢中，找了一把螺絲刀返回廣場。

　　次日凌晨，二人開始撬紀唸碑上的銅像。据錢某交代，攷慮到不遠處的草坪上比較軟，也不會發出聲響，錢某就接過王某撬下來的名人銅像，輕輕放到附近綠化樹林?的草坪上。直到凌晨兩點過，二人將文化牆上的16塊銅像撬了下來，並裝進一個白色的編織袋?准備運走銷贓。

　　攷慮到在歌樂山鎮附近賣容易被發現，王某就提議連夜把銅像運到新橋去銷贓。於是，二人輪流扛著裝有偷來的銅像的編織袋連夜往新橋方向走。正噹他們走到歌樂山向傢灣福利院路口時，遇到了在附近巡邏的民警,廢棄物清理，民警發現二人形跡可疑，立即上前盤問，一檢查白色袋子，民警竟發現?面裝著16個名人銅像，遂將二人帶回派出所接受調查。

　　經查，犯罪嫌疑人王某、錢某都是沙坪壩歌樂山鎮人，他們盜竊的16塊名人銅像價值5000余元。經審訊，二人還如實供述了涉嫌盜竊手機及超市物品的?起案件，目前二人已被刑勾，案件在進一步審理中。
