A large quantity of expired goods has been seized from New Amsterdam supermarkets. And the guilty parties have been deemed regular culprits by the Environmental Health Department of the New Amsterdam Town Council.The municipality led by its environmental health department, has been conducting regular visits to various supermarkets and grocery stores in the town to make sure that they do not offer expired or damaged goods for sale and that their business places are up to standard.Some of the expired goods seized from the supermarkets and grocery shops in New Amsterdam.Eating houses in and around the town are also being visited to make sure that they are in line. The latest raid was carried out on Friday at a number of supermarkets and grocery stores in the town.M. Ali and Sons Supermarket at Main and Pope Streets and? both stores of Bob and Sons Groceries on Strand, New Amsterdam were found to be in possession of a number of expired items which they were offering for sale.Among the items seized ,were baby foods,Cheap Soccer Jerseys, soya milk,wholesale nfl jerseys, split peas powder, icing sugar,Cheap Authentic Jerseys, cookies,Wholesale Stitched Jerseys, lollipops,Sale NFL Jerseys, margarine, evaporated milk, lard, baking powder, corn flakes, essence, mustard, bottled juices, mayonnaise, salad dressing, tooth paste and cooking oils among others.Town Clerk Sharon Alexander stated that contrary to some reports, the Council has not targeted any particular business,Wholesale Jerseys From China, but has been acting on information which includes complaints and reports and will continue to do its work.She said that the safety of the town’s citizens come first. Residents are also being asked to continue reporting any instance where expired goods are being offered for sale.Concerns have been expressed also, over the quantity of expired goods which are being offered for sale at some supermarkets and grocery stores in the town, and following reports the municipality decided to carry out another operation last Friday and a number of items were seized some of which carried expiry dates back in early 2012.
