A team from the Labour, Occupational Safety and Health Department, Ministry of Labour,Cheap Jerseys From China, on Tuesday last departed Guyana for a study tour with the Barbados Labour Department.The study tour will be focused on Dispute Resolution as is funded by the Organisation of American States.The team comprising Dawn Gardener, Maxine Bess and Donna Shortt-Gill, Public Relations Officer.Khama Salankey who is Labour Officer responsible for the Industrial Relations Section in Barbados greeted the team.Barbadian Labour Officers,Jerseys Wholesale, Vincent Burnett, Chief Labour Officer, Victor Felix,Cheap NFL Jerseys, Deputy Chief (ag) and Claudette Hope-Greenidge,NFL Jerseys Cheap, Assistant Chief (ag) were among those who addressed the opening sessions.Senator Harry Husbands made a presentation on Perspectives on the Barbados Social Partnership.He shared his past experience as an employee representative,Cheap NFL Football Jerseys, a union representative and a government representative. He said that he was able to view industrial relations from all levels.He outlined the challenges faced by Barbados in the early 1990’s in relation to the economic crisis and the introduction of social partners and the current challenges facing Barbados.Heading the Guyana delegation was Gardener who made a presentation on the system of dispute resolution in Guyana.Gardener brought greetings from the Minister of Labour,Wholesale Nike NFL Jerseys, Manzoor Nadir, the Permanent Secretary and staff of the LOSH department of Guyana and thanked the Barbadian Government for the invitation and looked forward to working towards improving their relationship and the strengthening of the Labour Department in Guyana.Gardener discussed the legal framework in dispute resolution in Guyana.She explained the process of Dispute Resolution and some of the challenges faced in resolving disputes in Guyana.Felix gave the final presentation of the day. It featured an overview of the historical, legal and institutional framework including landmark cases, and existing and proposed legislation.The seminar continued yesterday with the delegation attending the Barbados Annual Labour Department Employers’ Industrial Relations Seminar and conciliation meeting and paying a courtesy call on the Barbadian Minister of Labour.
